Brief Description:  Fiberglass Canopy to Frame 1

It is time to make the fiberglass fillet in front of the canopy.

I read thru the instructions in the Van's plan. They seem pretty good, logical and consistant with what I'm seeing on recent construction logs. Some older logs have variations on the instructions. I plan to follow the write up.

So I taped off the space on the canopy and skin where the fillet will go.

Remember those clips I put on to hold down the canopy. Well they were too long and I had to drill them off, shorten them and re-install them. The plans call for a 4 inch radius but I'm going with a slightly larger radius. The radius of my sanding block puts the edges about an inch up each side. So it is important that the clips be covered with material under this line.

Also I don't think I need tape on the aluminum skin because I'll be feathering out the fiberglass, but I'll start with it and remove it as I proceed.
