I put some attention on the canopy today to get it ready for final mounting. I cut off the corner that slide inbetween the roll bar and the aft skin. I did this because at Arlington EAA fly in I saw a lot of RVs where the canopy had hit the skin and bent it. So some guys cut off this corner so it won't reach the skin, and just put a plug in the gap.
And to get serious about finally mounting this I moved the tape lines back away from the holes and cleaned the plexiglass. I used Goof-Off to remove tape glue and Plexiglass clearner after that to polish it perfectly clean.
I also re-smoothed all the edges, and ran the countersink bit on the back side of all the holes to ensure the edges are all smooth so there are no points for a crack to start.
