Brief Description: Installed Platenuts on canopy decks for strut
Remember those holes where you're suppose to put bolts to hold the aft end of the strut and I made a couple of plates with platenuts? Well I decided to rivet them in place to make installation of the ball joint for the strut easier.
This may never have to come off in future, but it doesn't weigh much more than nuts, and it does spread the stress out over a larger portion of the canopy deck. The canopy deck is pretty thin so this plate riveted to the canopy deck should hold fine, and even better than just a couple nuts.
