Instead of a piece of aluminum angle for a canopy handle, I decided to use a cool handle from Home Depot Aviation Supply.
This stainless handle is sleek, functional and looks much cooler than a mere piece of angle. So I drilled to the side rails where the angle would have gone. It is held on by two #8 screws.
I made a piece of paper template to help locate the drill holes accurately.
