Brief Description:  Fitting Side Skirts 10: . . . to be continued .

After drilling everything I proceeded and deburred, and dimpled everything. I also countersunk the side rails to accept the dimples in the side skirts. I thought I was preparing for final riveting of this frame.

But then I came back and put the skirts back on with their dimples The side skirts seemed raised a little. I looked close. I examined how the canopy closes. I looked at the aft rib arch frame. I looked at how far the fwd frame closed. It just seems like my side skins are raised up a bit.

I took of the fwd skin. I played around with these for a day; two days.

I'm ordering two more pieces of 0.032 aluminum sheet 3X30 and doing this over. I'll have to drill usig the side rail as guide but these skirts came out bad. They are too high. I am about 1/2 or 1/16 to high. They don't hit the canopy deck when the canopy is closed. This will just be a big gap even with weather stripping this is no good.

So this is to be continued again . . .
