Brief Description:  Tip Up Reenforcement Bracing 8

I also have to finish my spacers under the skin in the front center. I'll call these shims. These shims which lift the skin slightly so when the canopy is opened the skin doesn't hit the forward skin. The shims lifting the skin up slightly seem to work a lot better than moving the canopy frame aft and enlarging the gap. Using these shims allows for a tighter gap.

I had been using 5 shims each 0.020. With the plastic stuff on. So they were probably well over 0.080 in width. I collapsed them down to 3 spacers. Two are 0.032 and one is 0.020. I'll try this which is 0.084 inches.

I dimpled the shims and they are ready for final riveting. I tapered down the ends so skin will flow smoothly over end of the shims. I suppose I could reverse these in order and make the long one under the skin. I'll try that.
