Brief Description: Fitting Rear Window 11: Trim aft window
The window gets its aft edge trimmed so the holes are about 3/8 from the edge. I measured and laid down a row of tape. I still like using tape to mark the cut off line. Works good. Very visible. I've run out of masking tape so I'm using electrical tape. And for this curve electrical tape works well because it curves and stretches nicely.
Then I flip it over and sand the edge. First with a belt sander, then with a vibrator sander and finally I use the plexi glass edge smoother tool. This little tool puts a nice edge on the plexi glass.
Plans say it is important to have the edges smooth so there are no points for a crack to propagate from.
