Brief Description: Drilling the Canopy 12: Aft Trimming
With the canopy drilled and clecoed the last thing to do is trim the aft edge. Recall the BIG CUT was made on the line, but due to the canopy coming down to contact the roll bar and fitting it, it is now slightly long.
So I marked the center of the roll bar on the canopy. Yes, I had to remove tape and plastic first.
Then I removed the canopy, but with the F-631 rib still clecoed on. Plans say remove it with the whole frame but I couldn't by myself.
I cut the aft end while clecoed to the rib. The rib helps to hold it.
I put on the tape and used my method for cutting off the aft piece which was about an 1/8 inch.
