Brief Description: Canopy Fitting 23: Finishing the fit
So the conclusion of looking at Arlington was I should trim the forward part of the skin into a tear drop shape so that the canopy is allowed to pass forward and over the top of the skin. I put a piece of canopy material into the slot and drew a line for what appeared to be the interfering area.
I cut out the material, smoothed the edges and tried the canopy. I'm not done, but it does fit pretty well. The aft skin tab does not push out, but actually fits pretty nice against the canopy. I will eventually bend this in so it has pre-load holding it on the canopy, but I will also glue it with proseal.
I also round the corner of the canopy a little. I think I may have to round this up some more.
