Brief Description: Canopy Fitting 7: Cut off Sides
I laid the canopy on its side to cut off the sides. It was a little scary cause I thought it might not be strong enough to sit this way. But I saw other folks do it on their construction logs and it seemed fine when I did it.
I heated the edge with my lights and cut off the side tooling marks.
I sand the edges first with a belt sander than with my vibrator sander. And I bought this edge scraper from Avery's. It does a really nice job of shaving the edges smooth. It removes the need for sanding.
