Brief Description: Canopy Fitting 5: Smoothing the edge
The belt sander did a good job of smoothing the rough cut. I turned the speed down to about 50% max. My palm sander broke. I don't know why. Motor works but the sand paper pad flew off and the plastic nubs are broke. shshshsh it is like a grimlin borrowed this and returned it broken. How did that happen. Anyway I have this vintage Craftsman sander from the 1970's. It is all metal and really works. Plus the straight pad is good for making the canopy edges straight without waves.
