Per plan I removed the frame from the fuselage. I made these little wedges to put under the splice plate. You'll notice the top tab of the side rail does not quit line up with the tab on the frame. But the bottom flanges do and I thought it more important to make the bottom flanges aligned. I can adjust the top tab later.
I cut the wedges on the band saw and sanded the cut edge smooth on the belt sander. I was also able to shape the wedge to fit just right. The drawings call for the large edge to be 5/32.
