Brief Description:  Drilling the Hinge Brackets 8

I've been spending thinking time on this frame fit. Here are some considerations.

If necessary I can move the hinge holes about 1/16 which is significant when I drill them for the 3/8 bushings. So I will hold this procedure until the canopy is completely done in order to make any fine adjustments after the whole thing is built.

The skins hit and won't open. I closer look shows the frame skin moves forward before it moves up upon opening. I need to get this skin up a bit. This is where I think
1) I should not have banged down the hinges as far as I did.
2) I should have bowed up the top of the frame where the splice plate is, instead of making it flat
3) I can round off the top of the fwd skin and bottom of the aft skin and that will help a little.
4) When I rivet the skins the fwd skin will be held down more and that will help.

So, instead of drilling out the splice plate, I made some shims to raise up the frame skin in the top center. I made three. Each time I added one, the opening interference improved. There is a wide one from outside the hinges a mid one hinge to hinge and a short one in the 6 inches of the top center.
