I found this trim bundle of 0.020 and cut up some shims to use as spacers inbetween the two top skins. Plans call for 0.020 - 0.032 space so I used these shims.
Notice I also used a belt clamp. I got it out of my wood working stuff. The belt is a good way to tighen the canopy frame in place on the fuselage. Using it, I never really felt the need to use duct tape, but I did once.
