Brief Description:  Attach HS to Fuselage 3: Change trim tab horn

Before I mount the HS to the fuselage I decided to change the trim tab horn. I changed my mind and decided to use electric trim for the elevator. So I've gotta change the trim tab horn and use the lower hole.

I had planned to just drill out the old horn and use Cherry Max pulled rivets to atach the new horn. But this is a lesson in how things change as you proceed.

I drilled out the hold horn. Recall these are 3/32 (#40) holes and flush rivets.

Then I had to match drill new holes for the Cherry Max pulled rivets which are 1/8 holes and I decided that was okay to do.

But then the dimples didn't match and I couldn't figure out how to dimple the existing holes in the trim tab unless I opened it up. So I drilled out the entire hinge and one folded and so I could open the trim tab itself.

I dimpled the holes to 1/8 and was able to use the squeezer to put flush 1/8 rivets in the new horn. Well dah, I could have made them 3/32 holes like the original if I had thought this thru better.
