Brief Description: Attach HS to Fuselage 1: Drill horn hole
Moving on from tubing it is time to look at attaching the empennage. First thing to do per plan is drill a hole in the elevator horns. Plans say to clamp horizontal stabalizer (HS) on the bench with hinges hanging over the edge and attach the elevators to the HS. Well that's hard. So I just put them upside down on my bench. That's easy.
My horns are very closely matched. Must be lucky. But the right side is slightly aft of the left one so I'll drill the first hole in it. This is the hole that will attach to the control rod.
