I made the stick boot rings today. My first attempt failed. Basically what failed is I cut the rings to outside dimensions and when I drilled the holes I violated edge margin. So I had to do a do-over. I made the second attempt 1/2 bigger in every dimension and then followed the same process to drill the holes and the last step was to trim the outside dimensions. This worked.
The drawing has lots of dimensions for these plates, the cut out, the hole locations. But it all has to fit on the existing floor. So I decided to use the floor to locate everything.
