Brief Description: Wing Mounting 7: Sliding it in a litlle
I slowly put the wing up next to the fuselage and checked alignment. I had to raise the aft side of the wing a bit to align the spar with the slot. A piece of 3/4 on top of the saw horse did the trick.
I was surprised how easily the wing spar found its slot and sent in a bit. Did I mention that I filed the edges round, per plan, so they wouldn't hang up.
With wiggling and pushing I was able to get the wing into the fuselage until the holes started to overlap. Then I used a nail punch for a little improvement in alighnment and then I used my ground off bolts. I had to re-grind them with a much pointer point and more gradual taper. They worked great. I really only needed one. Because once I got it in the bolt near by went in and then I removed the tapered bolt to use on another hole.
