Next on the plan is to install the landing gear weldmounts. Fortunately I spent a lot of time earlier trimming and fitting so these should go in fairly easily. I do see a note NOW that says I can enlarge holes on the weldmount, BUT DON"T DRILL THRU SPAR. Shshshshsh I can't remember for sure, but I think I did drill thru some of the holes on the spar. I didn't drill thru the key holes that hold on the wing, cause I knew better. But there are a couple smaller holes were I think I did drill thru spar to make things fit better. I'll go back and check this log and see.
First thing plans say to do is put the leg into the weldmount and match drill the hole at the end. This was tough. It is a tight fit. I smoothed everything and made sure there were no burrs and I added some oil to things.
I was able to muscle these together, align the hole and match drill it. I used a 5/16 per plan because I didn't have a 0.311 size. My 5/16 measures 0.308. After deburring I tried and bolt and I got a nice snug, but worable fit.
