Brief Description: Forward Covers 3 Drilling Center Cover Holes
In order to drill the holes thru the angle and into the center cover flange I wanted to make sure I didn't violate any edge margins and I wanted a consistant way to make the depth the same. So I took a piece of scrap angle and made this little tool.
Notice I made 3 sets of holes for different size final hole size to ensure a 2X edge margin.
I'll use the center holes on this cover because I'll be making a #19 hole for a #8 screw. I drilled the angle first and then match drilled with the center cover. I wanted to make sure the center cover got its hole in the right spot from the edge.
Clamping the angle not only makes for a consistant depth on the angle but it also makes using the angle drill a bit more stable.
