I tried making fairings for this rudder cable. I found some really good directions on Van's Forum. And I experimented with several shapes and sizes and options. But I wasn't able to make a good fairing with a flat interface and I cracked the aluminum when I flattened the pointy end.
I've order Avery's fairings. They are only $12 bucks and they have a rolled top. I thought pride would demand I make my own fairings, but hey, hasn't Van's been providing most of the parts already? So why not buy one more from Avery's.
I didn't get a shot of Avery's fairing before I trimmed them down to the shape I liked.
