Brief Description:  Canopy Emergency Release Configuration 1

You might recall I decided earlier I would not put the emergency release handle in the cockpit because with struts the canopy won't release anyway. But I do want the release handle someplace so I can remove the canopy for maintenance. I decided to drop it straight down like many other RV builders. I used an Adel clamp to hold the bottom of it. I had to put in a 1/8 spacer to keep it away from the sub panel. I also removed a little material on the back of the cable bracket, although with a bigger spacer I wouldn't have had to do that.

There is just a nut behind the #8 screw holding the Adel clamp. No plate nut needed since I put it at the bottom of that doubler on the sub panel.
