Brief Description:  Fuselage Finish: Brakes, Fuel Vent Fittings 1

Its been awhile since I worked on the RV. Partly because I've been busy with work, and with learning to play keyboard for the church and because I'm waiting for my brother Ed to catch up and he works more than I do.

Canopy is finished for now and I've gotta go back and finish the fuselage including riveting on the aft top skins and canopy deck.

So first I'm finishing the brake and fuel lines. I'm torquing them now. I hope I don't have to take these apart in the future. Torque is set for 85 in-lbs, but these AN fittings bottom out and then take only an 1/8 - 1/4 turn more.

I also redid my fuel vent line openings with new screen and used epoxy instead of tank sealer. These are much better.

I'm using green thread sealer to add a little anti vibration assurance.

And I'm using fuel lube on the threads although the flare should fit and not leak.

Yellow dots indicate final torq applied.
