Brief Description: Fuselage Final Items: Fwd Elevator Push Rod 1
Another fuselage pickup is the forward elevator push rod. I never made it. I don't recall ever reading in the plan to make this. And I didn't do it when I put in the aft larger push rod. Oh well. I'll make it now. I won't rig it now though. I'll rig it when I install the sticks and electric aileron trim.
I rigged up the drill press with a V-holder so I could drill the push rod straight thru making two of the six holes at once.
I sprayed primer in side. I smoothed the inside of the tube and the outside of the end piece but the fit was very very snug. I decided that if I put these end pieces into the tube that they would NOT be coming out. So I primed the inside of the tube and gave it a chance to dry. Then I inserted the end pieces and drilled them. I was able to debur by sticking the curved debur tool in the hole.
