Brief Description:  Front Deck (Tip Up) 30: Air Inlet Vent

The air vents get trimmed to fit against the panel, but also to remove the one unused corner. This makes them look more finished when installed.

The plastic vents have a pretty good air leak all around the edges of the flapper. Replacement, high quality airvents are $150 each. Seattle weather is not so severe. So I closed the gap by applying strips of felt to the inside of the air tube up against the flap closure. The felt has stick back. I put two strips on each vent. One went in front and the other in back for the flapper to close against. I can't see any light thru this. Hopefully it will work.

The expensive metal air vents from Van's are a direct replacement, so if these don't work, I can replace them later.
