Brief Description: Cabin Frame Roll Bar 18: Measuring height
I forgot to measure the vertical height of the channels. So I re-clecoed them together. It appears to have grown about 1/16 inch. It was difficult to measure to the top, so I made a jig from squares so I could accurately tell if the arch was the exact right height off the table.
I sanded the bottom on the belt sander with the whole thing assembled. It worked, but slowly. After many iterations of measuring and sanding I got the arch to just fit within the squares at 17 and 19/32. So I'm pretty sure I have this accurate to within 1/32 of an inch.
I also made sure as I sanded that I kept the bottoms of the channels flush on the table.
