Brief Description:  Cabin Frame Roll Bar 1: The parts

Well you probably expected to see painting of the interior at this point, but not. I will paint the interior before I rivet on any more parts to the fuselage. But the cabin frame needs to be built including the roll bar and top frames and panel. Seems like preparing these parts will increase risk of scratching up the paint. So I'll paint before riveting any of them to the fuselage.

First part to assembly is the roll bar. I pulled the parts and studied the drawing. I always like this part because it slows me down, and I read the drawing until I understand what the final assembly will look like and get a feeling for the process of assembly.

I'm short one of the long straps. Why? Because I thought is was scrape and used a piece of it awhile ago for some other parts. So there goes $9 bucks to get a new one from Van's.

I've read several construction sites and will use a ply wood back board to help ensure this stays flat. So I got a piece of plywood with white stuff on top.

My fuselage measures 42 and 9/32. Amazing. That's what it is suppose to measure.
