Brief Description:  Mid-Aft Body Join - Bend Tabs 5 CHANGE

This entry is made 2 months later when I was getting ready to rivet the conical bend. My brother Ed called and said I should look at this area because he thinks it can be improved by pushing the conical bend under the bottom skin more. So I looked. I discovered that the side skin really was not tight enough to the frame and the underlying flat rib showed through the crack between the side skin and bottom skin. And indeed I could push the conical bend in further.

And I am able to push this side skin under the bottom skin more and make a better joint. But recall these are matching holes and when I push it in the holes need redrilling and turn into ovals. But I decided to do this. The oval holes will be sandwiched between the rib and bottom skin.

So first I flattened the dimples. Then re clecoed and drilled. Finally I re-dimpled.

PS notice below the holes for the vertical cargo rib are still aligned fine.
