Brief Description:  Rivet 8: Dynon Servo Bracket

The Dynon servo bracket arrived today. And they also sent me a blue Dynon Hat. Very nice.

The kit has the bracket and attachment hardware for the servo arm to the bell crank. But it does not have any rivets nor call outs for attaching the bracket to the 729 bell crank rib. It shows the location, but it leaves it up to the builder to decide how many rivets to use. They also make the lower flange optional.

Well to get it in the right position from the bell crank required drilling out 3 rivets. I wish it had spanded four rivets but it didn't. So I decided to put four rivets at the bottom of the bracket and to put four more rivets in the lower flange through the lower aft fuselage skin.

I did the normal, position, clamp, drill, debur, dimple, clean, prime, and rivet process. I had to use the pop rivet puller to dimple the bottom skin. That was a first.

Later I'll rivet it to the bottom skin when I rivet on the 706 builkhead with its 728 and 729 ribs.
