Final step for now on the pedals was to cut the optional materal off the center bracket for weight lightening purposes. Notice I have a 1 inch end per drawing, although I've seen various heights for this on other logs. And I did only two holes. I could have done the third. I used a hole saw and my fly cutter to make the holes.
I'm putting away the peddals for now. I will rivet them later after I figure out if I want to paint or anodize them. Seems like some kind of durable finish is needed..
