I trimmed the optional slant on the length of the angles. Then I trimmed the cosmetic angle on the front of the exposed angle. These look good. I measured the overall length of the rudder pedals and they did NOT need trimming. They did have a lip on the ends which I sanded off. The lip seemed to be made of paint.
I'm not going to rivet these now. I might want to anodize or paint them and I have not decided yet.
