Brief Description: Fwd Fuselage - F796 Spacers and Angle 1
Next I moved on to the F-796 spacers which will eventually hold the bracket that attaches the wing fuel tank. First I had to decide what raw material to use to make the 1/2 strips. I had some nice long pieces of 1/2 but worried it must be for something in the future. I decided, heck, let's use it.
So I cut the four spacers per drawing.
Then I cut some 3/4 angle and made the two reinforcement angles per drawing. Note the angles top and bottom so that this angle fits flush inside its space.
I had to trim off a little more than the drawing. This is a basic trim to fit process.
I used temporary rivet to help hold the spacers while I put the angle on.
