Brief Description: Fwd Fuselage - Landing Gear Mount Fit 6
I attached the bottom skin like it will be and tried to install the landing gear mounts. No way, they would even begin to go.
I played with this thing for an hour, fitting, sanding, fitting and sanding. I scratched the heck out of the landing gear mount. I had to remove the little brackets that we installed on the wing bulkhead. They intered with installation. There is also one platenut that gets in the way, but I worked around it. I also had to remove the bottom front skins.
The hole ended up being much bigger than the template. The pink paper is the final hole shape overlayed the template. You can see how much bigger I had to make it in order to install the mounts with the bottom skin fastened in place.
