Brief Description: F-704 Bulkhead - Attach F-704C L&R to A 1
I assembled the outside vertical pieces F-704C L & R to A (and D to B). Plans say to use the bolts for accurate aligning. Then I clecoed them, match drilled all the rivets holes. I disassembled and deburred and then looked for instructions on when to rivet them together.
I could not find in the plans where it says to rivet these parts together. I have looked at other people's construction log sites and everyone rivets them together at this point so I will to. I conclude that the first word in Van's plan is "ATTACH" and be this they mean to go ahead and use bolts and rivets or whatever to complete the permanent attachment of these parts. So I riveted them. I squeezed the rivets along the edge and forward rivet the rest using Universal set and bucking bar. Pounding them worked great.
Lots of folks used the C-frame to rivet here. I don't have a C-frame.
