One last thing before putting away the wing; I had Fred, an EAA Tech Advisor, and active FAA test pilot, come over for a review. Some good points he added are:
1) make sure shop heads are at least 1.5 D so they don't pull out 2) drill out cracked or fully clinched rivets 3) make pop rivets tight. If there is space between the sheets, replace them. 4) put something on bare steel where I've sanded or drilled off the powder coat so it doesn't rust.
