Brief Description:  Flaps - Cut out hinge eyes in center of flaps

The plan says there are two methods to attach the flaps to the wing. One is with the full length hinge pin running through a hole in the aileron hinge backet. The other is to cut the hinge pin in half and remove 3 hinge eyes at the center of the flap and insert the pins from the center.

I've decided on the later because there is friction pushing the hinge pins in and I think it will be better to have them going in from the center and being only half in length. Also, it seems like I will be able to remove the flap without messing with the aileron in the future using this method.

So I measured and identified the 3 hinge eyes that get removed. Very scary to cut these off, so I'm going to wait a day.

I did not proceed. Turns out you really need to drill the hinge to wing first and that requires finish installing the ailerons completely with washers and setting them to neutral. Also I decided to do the bellcrank and push rods as part of finishing the ailerons. Then I drill the flap hinge, cutting the teeth and bending the pins.
