Brief Description: Push Rods - Small Pushrod Aileron to Bellcrank 2
Then I marked the holes location with a pen. Two pairs. One was 3/16 from the end and the other was 7/16 from the end. I marked the holes on all four sides but ended up drilling straight thru for the hole pairs. I drilled them first undersized with 3/32 drill (#40) drill. Then I enlarged them to #30. I drilled these on the drill press rather than my little jig because I wanted to ensure the bit went straight thru without tilting.
After drilling I deburred all the holes. I tried to stick in the push rod ends but they were a tight fit and I had to bang them in with a hammer. I put the nut on the end so I wouldn't damage the threads. I drilled the holes through the rod ends using the holes in the tube as a guide. I drilled them #30 in one step. I couldn't get the threaded rodends out after this and decided to just proceed to riveting.
