Brief Description:  Ailerons - Hinge Bracket Issue 1

When I put the aileron on the wing, I discovered the outboard bracket assembly was tilted in. Darn. I guess I didn't pay attention to this figuring that the matched hole technology would ensure straightness. Van's forum suggested that it might be okay. Another guy said just bend it out with a cresent wrench. Vans builder support said it needs to be straighter.

I looked really close to figure out what went wrong and how would removing it result in a better fit. I discovered a small gap under the angle. A 0.20 feeler gauge slides in there. So I decided if I removed only the outboard rivets that go through the rib web, that I could probably bend this outboard with little distortion to any parts and re-rivet in place using a double. Vans support suggested the doubler. So that is what I did and the record follows.
