Brief Description: Leading Edge - Landing Light 7 Retaining Strip
I mounted platenuts on theretaining strips using my standard method. Again I used the oops rivets, which are really NAS 1097 rivets. You can get a box from Avery with 3/32 and 1/8 shafts. Then I sanded off some of the retaining strip on the top because it hits the lens and makes a gap. It does not fit flush. Even after trimming it, it still has a gap, although small. I'll bend to match curve. Finally, I dimpled the leading edge skin with a #6 dimple die. The plan says to use #30 but the screw is a number 6 so I used number 6 it is fits fine.
At this point the light is all pre-assembled. But before I really install it, I need to dis-assemble, clean, prime, and rivet together the leading edge.
