Brief Description:  Tank Assy - Flop Tube Snag Brackets 1

I'm messing around with the anti snag brackets for the flop tubes. I've decided to use two flop tubes, mostly because I want to do aerobatics and I want to keep both tanks the same. Seems better for some reason. I can see how the anti snag bracket over the access plate is a benefit, but not in the location on Van's drawing. Because in the middle of the access hole you get two problems; 1) the hole is less access for a hand, but worse the cracks between the bolts on the flop tube get snagged on the anti-snag backet. I see other sites put the bracket closer to the front so that the red nut slides on the bracket, but I want to put mine more aft so that the brass pickup tube slides on the anti-snag bracket.

Then for the other bracket shown on the drawing, I can't see any benefit to having it. In fact I think it becomes a source for a snag. See photo two the cracks between the bolts can get stuckon the edge of the anti-snag bracket. shshshsh. I'll probably finish the tank and decide later on putting this one in or not.
