Brief Description: Tank Prep - OneWay Doors Made and Installed
I made the oneway doors for the 2nd inboard rib. These doors keep fuel from flowing out of the pickup bay during those long duration knife edge manuevers. I ended up making the top hinge twice because the first one was not long enough to rivet without going through the rib circle impression. Notice I used flush rivets and put the flap on the backside of the hinge. Then to make the upper hinge fit smoothly I had to bend up the hing tabs a little to match the height of the flap. It closes flush. Also not I kept the door a bit away from the skin edge and baffle edge so it doesn't end up interfering with Proseal. Also I plan to keep the hinge pin bend dowards the baffle so it won't rattle out.
