Brief Description:  Bought Tools Today

I bought my tools today. Yea. I decided on the Avery RV Builders Tool Kit with 3X Rivet Gun. I looked a several other builders sites, and many builders rave about Avery. I’m sure other kits are fine. The prices seemed slightly cheaper at Avery but they also advertise an easy substitution process. My brother Ed who is building an RV-7A chose Avery, so I was able to use his opinions the most. I called Avery and made the order by phone so that they could make substitutions and suggestions. Avery is a very nice family business with lots of good suggestions. I did a few substitutions that may be of interests. I decided to get the Pneumatic Squeezer with 3” Yoke and did not get the hand squeezer. I added the no-hole thin yoke, the longeron yoke, and quick change pins. I added the adjustable set holder. I also got the DRDT Dimplier rather than the hand dimplier. I’m told that with sufficient pre-load this DRDT dimplier makes smooth flush dimples. I also added the hex adapter for deburring tool, extra Scotch Bright Pads, the Tube bender, the flaring tool, a digital laser level, an extra unibit and 200 extra #40 clecos. Oh, one more thing, Mr. Avery suggested I get the Pan American Drill rather than the Sioux because it is just as good and much cheaper.
