Brief Description: 48 inch ruler & two squares clamped
I had a 48 inch ruler and soon things started to get screwed up. I measured my ruler against a tape measure and all the middle tic marks were 1/8 off. The overall length was right but the line segments inside the ruler were bad. I threw it away.
I bought this ruler from Ace Hardware and measured it against all my tape measures. Everything matches. Gotta be careful about potential bad rulers.
Also want to mention how I clamped to squares together to get an accurate height measurement on the roll bar arch. The square at the top helped determine the exact position of the top. This is measured to within 1/32 of an inch.
