Brief Description: Time to give my compressor some attention
I used this compressor for the last 10 years of building my RV-7A. It has been a great compressor. It never failed to supply air when needed. Even spinning tools that use a lot of air flow worked fine all the time. So its time to give it some attention.
I drained the oil to change it. What a mess. Oil went everywhere. When it was finally drained I went and bought a 4 inch tube and added it as a drain tube for next year, after I build an RV-10.
I also cleaned the water filter and added two more filters. I noticed my painting had fish eyes and I think they were due to moisture in the air. A couple google searches says having two water filters and another kind of condesor filter is better. So I added them.
Oil sump required 32 oz to fill it. I used compressor oil which I think is 30W non-detergent.
