Part of Phase I testing is to observe and document engine measurements. I bought the new EAA booklet on Phase I testing. It has about 18 pages of tests to perform. Here you can see 1. Idle before take off 2. Climbing at 25 X 25 3. Crusing at 23 X 23
All looks good except one high EGT. It is not high out of range. It is just high relative to the other three. I bet it turns out to be the probe or wiring. Its a new engine so I doubt it could be a dirty injector nozzle. And I already check the plugs and they are fine. I doubt it could be a stuck exhaust valve. It is probably something about the measurement. I suppose it could be I didn't locate the probe consistently down the exhause pipe as I did the other three.
