Brief Description:  First Flight 2

It trimmed out from the chaulks laterally, which was a big relief. The pitch trim worked perfectly. The stick is very sensitive. I flew around for about 30 minutes then did a low pass at 2000 RPM to see what winds on the ground were doing. A 5 knot cross wind out of the east was coming. I hate east winds at Anacortes. So time to land.

I followed Bob Seager's instructions and it worked just fine.

On the 45 pull power to 2300 to slow down to 100 kts.
At the numbers pull to idle, watch for 85kts, lower 1/2 flaps (count 4).
Power up to 1800 RPM. Trim to 75kts
On base put in the other half flaps. Trim to 75kts
When runway was made I pulled to idle and remained headed down to runway.
Leveled off and flew quit a long ways level while slowly increasing back pressure. I landed with a couple knots of tail wind.
Finally mains hit. No bounce. Kept nose up until it dropped. Came to almost a stop without brakes.
I pulled off the runway and back to the hangar.

Tomorrow I'll remove cowls and have a look.
