Brief Description:  Interior 5 Forward Floor Carpets

I started messing around with the covers that go over the landing gear weldmonts which led me to wondering where the floor carpets would go and decided I first needed to see the placement of the floor carpets before I do anything forward with the interior.

The floor carpets are two parts. There are 4 foam pads that fill in the spaces between the ribs and then the one-piece carpet that goes over the top.

I put the foam pieces in and made a slit to accommodate the antenna wire. I also made a hole in the foam for the BNC connector. Fits well.

But then I looked at the pre-made hole in the carpet. It was an inch to rearward. I see my measurement on this was on the outside of the fuselage and Classic Aero measured on the inside. My measurement included about an inch of flange. Dang. So the hole is in the wrong place.

But rather than mess with a new hole I put 90 degree BNC connectors on the antenna. This made the antenna flush with the top of the foam pad and the carpet can just lay on top. No feet will ever touch here anyway. These spots are forward of the pedals.
