Then you bend the channal to "exactly" match the curve of the canopy bubble. I think I've got it. Directions say you can't have it not match because that causes forces to pull it away from the canopy. I can see that. Anyway, I've got mine matching pretty will.
I looked on line to see how far back others have placed this. Looks like all the back, but just in front of the latch is best.
