Brief Description:  Capacitance to Voltage Converter 1

The single wire from the capacitance plates attaches to a BMC bulkhead connector in the inboard wing rib. The Dynon EMS Engine Monitoring System requires 3 wires from these plates and so you need to buy the Dynon Capacitance to Voltage Convertor. It comes with three wires. The red one is for 12 volts and the black one is ground.

So I had to go find the red 12V wire from pind 15 of the EMS and tap into it. I added 2 taps one for left and one for right. Then I found two more black wires from the EMS connector and grouped up the wires into two sets of three, one for the left and one for the right. Pins 23 and 22 are are used for the fuel flow. Pin 22 is used on the left and #23 is on the right.

I routed these wires to the side of the fuselage; measured where the hole should go and made a small hole. Inserted a gromment and ran the wires thru. I used a molex connector to attach the converts. Now when I bring the wing over the BNC connector on the converter will attach to the one on the wing bulkhead.

NOTE: One thing. The Advanced Manual says to use pin #22 and 23 for fuel flow, but the Dynon Manual says to us #8 instead of #23. But Advanced says to use #8 for Oil Preassure. I followed the Advanced manual. I hope this is correct.
