Brief Description:  Pitot Tube Routing to D6 EFIS 1

Next I decided to route the pitot, static and AOA tubes to the D6 Backup EFIS. I tried all ways of routing using 90 degree elbows on the back of the D6, but nothing worked. I decided I had to remove some of the subpanel to make the D6 fit better. There is also a large electrical connector that plugs in under the tube connections, so removal of sub panel was really necessary. I just didn't want to admit it. So I got out the vibrating hack saw and made a hole. I made it big enough to accommodate the tubes and the connector.

Now the tubing routes nicely and enters the D6 from its back, straight in. Plus I put adel clamps to hold the tubs attached to the rib. The material removed doesn't seem to make much difference to the sub-panel.
